Updating Peak Flow Threshold Offline

Modified on Fri, 9 Feb at 4:11 PM

The peak flow threshold specifies the peak flow rate before shutting the water off. The maximum threshold is measured by emulating the flow if every water-consuming appliance is running and then measuring the highest flow rate in a 10 second period. Afterwards, if the flow rate goes beyond this flow rate (e.g. burst pipe scenario), then the valve closes to prevent damages.

You can do the maximum flow threshold calibration using LeakNet in offline mode, however there is a factory default value which is detailed in the Configurations page. The steps for doing the calibration are as follows:

  1. Long press the close button till the status LED shows pink – now you are in max flow calibration mode.
  2. Open all faucets and empty the flush tanks downstream, then open the valve using the LeakNet “Open” button.
  3. It will start measuring the maximum flow per litre & choose the highest value within 10 seconds before shutting the valve off.
  4. Make sure to close all the faucets before next opening the valve.
  5. The max flow threshold will be saved in the configuration for the current configuration.
    • If you want to update the max threshold in another configuration, do the same procedure by changing the configuration (Restart + open) first.

Note: The saved values will be cleared after resetting the device and the default value (detailed below) will be saved in both configurations.

If you want to exit max flow calibration mode at any point in this process, restart the device.
